Code Play Learn is excited to announce a hands on after school program where students will discover how an engine works and what it looks like on the inside!

Students participating in our program will discover how an engine works by taking a small engine fully apart. Students, working in pairs, using Kohler engines, the same ones found on many lawn mowers and power equipment. As each groups explores and removes parts they will learn how each part contributes to engine operation and four-stroke principles. Then the pairs will put the engines back together. All materials needed for the course will be provided by Code Play Learn. If students are interested, they may purchase the engine or tool kit used in the program.

Our instructor, Ken Adkins, is a 13 year veteran teacher with a Masters Degree in Technology Management and is an A.S.E. certified Master Mechanic.

All twelve, 60 minute sessions will take place at Code Play Learn, 132 N. Ridgeland, Oak Park IL 60302. Space is limited to the first 12 students.
