Class Description:

Campers will use MIT's Scratch programming platform to create their own interactive media, including stories, games, and animations. Throughout the class, students will learn the fundamentals of coding, including loops, decision statements, variables, mathematical operators, Boolean logic, events, and more. Computer Game Design with Scratch applies a curriculum that enables each child to develop his or her ability to think creatively, work collaboratively and reason systematically. This class will encourage children to become makers, rather than just users, of technology.

All ten 60 minutes sessions will take place at Code Play Learn, 1148 W. Diversey, Chicago, IL 60614. Space is limited to 12 students.

The listed grade levels are recommendations. Please use your best judgement, based on your child's level of experience.
