Code Play Learn and The Paintbrush are excited to partner together to offer a week-long, full-day camp that will engage your child in both computer science and art. This camp is designed for students who are currently in kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Campers will spend their mornings learning the principles of robotics and engineering by constructing and modifying LEGO robots and using the LEGO WeDo programming platform to make their creations come alive. This program applies a Problem Based Learning curriculum that enables each child to develop his or her ability to think creatively, work collaboratively and reason systematically.

Campers will spend their afternoons fully immersed in the art experience. Each day, campers will be introduced to a new artist and create a masterpiece based on that artist's work. The laid back camp atmosphere will often allow for a second or third project and/or a beloved free-art play tradition that can involve creating a group project, exploring art through play and more.

Drop off and Code Play Learn activities will take place at 1148 W. Diversey Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60614. Pick up and The Paintbrush activities will take place at 2646 N. Halsted St., Chicago, IL 60614, a short walk from Code Play Learn. Code Play Learn staff will escort campers to The Paintbrush. We ask that each camper bring his/her own nut-free snack and lunch. Space is limited to 18 campers.
